WONDERING ABOUT ADHD

Get a clear answer.

A comprehensive ADHD evaluation for adults that looks at the full picture — not just a checklist.

You’ve been stuck with a ‘Maybe’ for long enough.

If you've been Googling 'do I have ADHD' at 2am, or you've taken every online quiz and still don't have a clear answer — you're not alone. A lot of smart, self-aware adults spend years wondering. We offer a thorough, evidence-based evaluation that gives you an actual answer, so you can finally stop guessing and start knowing.

You've probably already done a lot of the mental work, doing your best to figure this out on your own. And honestly? That is very on-brand for someone who might have ADHD. But self-awareness only gets you so far. At some point, you need someone to actually sit with you, ask the right questions, and do the *clinical work* of sorting it out. That's where we come in.

I want to help you get a real answer.

THIS COULD BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF...

▸ You've been wondering about ADHD for a while, but nobody has ever actually evaluated you

▸ You're functioning — maybe even high-functioning — but it's costing you more than people realize

▸ The mental effort it takes to stay organized, finish things, and keep all the plates spinning has been exhausting you for years

▸ A therapist mentioned it, a partner noticed it, or every quiz points to it — but you've never had a clear diagnosis

▸ You want documentation to discuss medication options with a psychiatrist or prescriber

▸ You need a formal diagnosis for academic or workplace accommodations

▸ You got evaluated before but the results were inconclusive, didn't quite make sense, or you'd like a second opinion

Evaluation Process

Step 1: Consultation & Intake

We start with a conversation about what’s been going on, how long it's been happening, and what you're hoping to understand. If it feels like a good fit, we'll move forward and schedule your evaluation sessions.

Step 2: In-Depth Assessment

Across two sessions, we take a close look at your experiences—past and present. This includes:

  • A comprehensive clinical history

  • A structured ADHD assessment (DIVA-5)

  • Exploration of patterns like anxiety, mood, trauma, sleep, and more

  • Clinical measures assessing symptoms for ADHD and other related conditions

Step 3: Results & Next Steps

We meet to go over everything together. You’ll get a clear understanding of what I found, space to ask questions, and guidance on what to do next. You’ll also receive a written diagnostic summary you can use for treatment, work, or school if needed.

A Real Evaluation. A Real Answer.

What You’ll Walk Away With

A clear understanding of what’s actually going on

A diagnosis (if appropriate)

Written documentation you can use for work, school, or medical care

Thoughtful & personalized recommendations for next steps

Not just a label, but a clear path forward

How is this process different?

A lot of ADHD evaluations are quick — a questionnaire, a few boxes checked, and that’s it. That approach often misses the full picture. Especially for adults who’ve spent years overcompensating, for women whose ADHD doesn’t look textbook, and for people of color who’ve historically been overlooked. They all might have ADHD that gets missed due to a fast but faulty screening.

This process is different. It’s a structured, in-depth evaluation conducted by a licensed clinical psychologist who examines how your mind actually works—not just whether you feel scattered sometimes. I look at the full picture: attention and focus, yes—but also anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep, and everything else that can overlap with or mimic ADHD.

Because sometimes it is ADHD. Sometimes it’s something else. And often, it’s both.

What’s Included:

Comprehensive Clinical Interview: A dedicated session exploring your history, current functioning, and the full range of conditions that mimic or co-occur with ADHD.

DIVA-5 Structured Diagnostic Interview: The internationally validated tool designed specifically for adult ADHD, systematically assessing every DSM-5-TR criterion across your lifespan.

Personalized Feedback Session: We sit down together to review your results, talk through what I found, and discuss what comes next.

Standardized Symptom Measures: Validated self-report tools that add normative data to the clinical picture and check for additional mental health conditions.

Diagnostic Documentation Letter: A formal letter you can share with your psychiatrist, prescriber, employer, or school.

Good to Know:

This is a diagnostic evaluation, not a neuropsych battery.

Research consistently shows that a thorough clinical evaluation using structured tools like the DIVA-5 is the recommended approach for diagnosing ADHD in adults. You don’t need a $3,000+ neuropsychological testing battery to get an accurate diagnosis. That said, if your situation calls for more comprehensive testing (suspected learning disabilities, complex cognitive concerns), I’ll let you know and help you find the right referral.

This doesn’t automatically start a therapy relationship.

The evaluation is its own thing. If you’re interested in therapy after the assessment — with me or with someone else — we can absolutely talk about that, but it’s a separate process.

Available in-person and via telehealth.

I see clients in person at the Oakland (Rockridge) office and the San Francisco (FiDi) office, as well as via secure telehealth for anyone located in California.
